One day, a curious disciple asked the sage, “Master, of all the times you have lived through, what do you consider the most foolish behavior?”
The sage smiled with serenity, his eyes reflecting lifetimes of wisdom. “We are all surrounded by fools,” he replied softly. “At times, we are one of them. A fool’s paradise is nothing but the arrogance of thinking we know everything. The moment we stop being curious or humble, we build walls around our own growth.”
The disciple nodded, pondering deeply. “Then, Master,” he asked, “how does one come out of such foolishness?”
The sage’s voice flowed like the calm of a river. “Learn to listen—not merely to reply, but to truly understand. And before you can listen to others, you must learn to listen to yourself. Only when you silence your ego, will true learning begin.”
Learning: Wisdom does not come from knowing everything but from being open to unlearn, to listen, and to grow.
