A powerful King, blinded by ambition, approached a sage. “I want to rule my kingdom forever,” he declared. “Teach me the secret to never being replaced.”
The sage smiled, sensing the King’s hunger for power. “Great leaders are not remembered for how long they ruled,” he said, “but for how they served. To lead is not to command—it is to uplift. Serve your people with fairness, love, and courage. Feel their pain as your own, and they will carry your name beyond time.”
The King frowned. “But will service give me power?”
“Power fades,” the sage replied. “Service creates respect, and respect turns into legacy. A true leader’s influence outlives his reign.”
The King finally understood that greatness isn’t about holding a throne but about touching lives.
Learning: Leadership is not about power but about purpose, service, and the ability to inspire others.
