An old man on his deathbed called up his son and handed over the keys of a car that was gifted to him by his father. Taking the keys and fretting over the dilapidated condition of the car, the son asked ... what should I do with this oldie in the age of self-driving cars? Find its value, smiled the father and rested.
After a few months when the son thought of selling it, the local garage offered 1 lakh while the scrap dealer priced it at 30000. What a waste of time, thought the son and while cursing the possession, walked into a car club to give a final try. “Anyone interested in a 1950 Morris Minor, I have to make space in backyard and thought this could be a place of interest for the car..”And woo! the hands shot up in air and so did the price..! This was indeed a blessing in disguise.
The story is not about changing value of a commodity but about everything in life; Right value is obtained with right audience...!
Next time when you feel undervalued, change your sight and see how the world changes; A goldsmith sees the value of a rock much differently than the world combined.
